Q: What was there, if you can share it with us, what was the discussion Brian about, ‘Okay, we’re gonna go out and do this, but should we change the name? Should we become another group unto ourselves or do we keep the name Queen?’ How did that discussion go?

Brian: Yeah, it was a kind of meandering discussion. Yes, of course you have to discuss it. What the hell to we call this? There was Roger and I, who very much carried the spirit of Queen with us, whether we like it or not, I suppose, and Paul who’s coming in from a different place. Yeah. You could have called it, you know (?), ‘The Seaweeds’, but I think it would have kind of shot us in the foot because, you know, because most people wouldn’t’ have found us even by now. They wouldn’t realise what we were doing. They wouldn’t realise that we were out there playing ‘We Are The Champions’ and ‘We Will Rock You’ and stuff, as well as some new stuff and continuing the thread which we started. So in the end we decided the word ‘Queen’ should be in there somewhere and ‘Paul Rodgers’ needed to be in there too, because we’re continuing his ‘legendary journey’, if you like. So it’s not a very pretty name, ‘Queen Plus Paul Rodgers’, but it’s something which defines kind of roughly what we are, I suppose.

Meg tudom értemi azokat, akik nem tudnak egy korán eltávozott szerettük nélkül élni, de az élet nem áll meg, ha meghal valaki, még akkor sem, ha ezt úgy érezzük mély fájdalmunkban szeretteink elvesztését követően.

Akik elutasítják a Queen Paul Rodgersel kiegészült formációját, azok képtelenek elfogadni, hogy az élet egyszer véget ér, de ezzel nem szűnik meg az életbenmaradottaknak a joga az élethez. Ha egyszer ellenérzéseiket leküzdve mégis elmennének egy koncertre, akkor Ők is megtapasztalhatnák, hogy senki sem akarja pótolni Freddiet, zenélni, szórakoztatni akarnak ameddig egészségük engedi. Az anyagi motiváció náluk már nem lehet a show mozgatórugója, de bizonyára az is kellemes hozadék részükre. A Queen nevet pedig alanyi jogon - nem csak pénzügyi és marketing célból - használják, mert pontosan annyi joguk van hozzá, mint Freddienek vagy Johnnak lenne.

Egyszerű ez, mint a fa ék….ha nem vagy ott, egy élménnyel leszel szegényebb, aki ezt megvonja magától pedig megtehette volna, hogy ott legyen, de buta ideológiákat gyártva magyarázatként otthon marad, az megérdemli……mellesleg nem értem, hogy miről mondd véleményt, ha nem is volt ott.

Tökéletesek voltak azok a blokkok, ahol Brian és Roger énekelt, és ezt az élményt nem vagyok hajlandó megvonni magamtól, mert egy általam is nagyon szeretett ember már nincs az élők sorában.
